Israeli Hospital Hit by Ransomware Attack

An Israeli hospital has canceled non-urgent treatment and switched to a backup system for patient care after it was hit by a cyber attack on Wednesday.

The ransomware attack against Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in the northern city of Hadera was reported to the Ministry of Health and the National Cyber Directorate as soon as it was discovered, and is currently being investigated, according to a joint statement from the ministry and directorate on Wednesday. None of the hospital’s medical equipment was affected, it said.
