Health Provider, Tech Firm Hit With Suit After Ransomware Attack

A home health provider and its tech vendor failed to protect the data of more than 150,000 patients from a ransomware attack, a Pennsylvania federal court complaint alleges.

Personal Touch Holding Corp. and Crossroads Technologies Inc. also allegedly failed to alert patients about the breach in a timely fashion, according to the class suit filed Monday in the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
