Google Tells Arizona Court Its Location Tracking Isn’t Deceptive

Alphabet Inc.'s Google asserted that its data disclosures on location tracking aren’t deceptive as it pushed back against claims from Arizona’s attorney general that the company misled users.

“Google’s privacy policy has always informed users that Google collects and uses location data when users interact with Google Apps and services,” lawyers for the company said in a Wednesday filing in Arizona Superior Court.

The filing comes after the court earlier blocked Google’s bid to dismiss Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich’s claims. Now the attorney general is asking the court for a judgment.
