GoodRx Fixes Advertising Privacy Flaws Business Group Discovers (1)

GoodRx Inc. will more clearly inform customers about third-party data collection and supply an opt-out link after a business group found the company failed to meet industry standards for digital advertising.

The online marketplace for discounts on prescription drugs will also add a link to its privacy policy with information about its practices, the Digital Advertising Accountability Program said in a statement Wednesday.

The digital group enforces advertising industry self-regulatory principles to protect people’s privacy online. It responds to consumer complaints and does audits to ensure companies that are part of its network, like Facebook Inc., General Mills Inc....
