FullStory Accused of Secretly Recording Website Users’ Visits

FullStory Inc. used surveillance software to secretly intercept and record website visitors’ electronic communications and then share them with its clients, according to a complaint filed in federal court in Pennsylvania.

Kenneth Hasson filed the proposed class action against the digital customer experience company, alleging that it used session replay software to record user interactions on its clients’ websites, in violation of Pennsylvania’s Wiretapping and Electronic Surveillance Control Act. The software records users’ mouse movements, clicks, keystrokes, URLs of pages visited, and personal information typed while on a website, Hasson said.
