Facebook Likely to Face More State Suits Over Privacy, D.C. Says

Facebook Inc. will probably be sued by more states alleging privacy violations, according to the District of Columbia’s attorney general, who filed his own lawsuit last month over user data that was obtained by political consulting firm Cambridge Analytica.

“It’s fair to say that we had extensive conversations with a number of states that were simultaneously investigating Facebook,” Washington Attorney General Karl Racine said at a conference in Washington on Tuesday. “My expectation is that some states will file suit.”
