EU Parliament Hit by ‘Pro-Kremlin’ Cyberattack After Terror Vote

The European Parliament is “under a sophisticated cyberattack,” Roberta Metsola, the parliament’s president, said in a tweet.

  • A “pro-Kremlin group has claimed responsibility,” Metsola says
  • IT experts are pushing back against it & protecting our systems
  • Attack comes after “we proclaimed Russia as a State-sponsor of terrorism”
  • Website “is currently impacted from outside due to high levels of external network traffic,” spokesman Jaume Duch said on earlier on twitter
  • Says traffic is related to a DDOS attack (Distributed Denial of Service) event
