EPA Watchdog Flags Chemical Board Information Security Flaws (1)

The federal agency tasked with investigating chemical releases across the U.S. faces security system weaknesses that present challenges to its operations, the Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Inspector General said in a new report.

The Inspector General of the Environmental Protection Agency holds the position of Inspector General for the Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board, according to the EPA’s website. The OIG conducts annual financial audits, evaluations of information security and receives complaints of CSB fraud, waste, or abuse.
