Cops Need Warrant for Home Surveillance, ACLU Tells Justices (1)

The US Supreme Court should review whether law enforcement needed a search warrant for months-long surveillance of an alleged drug distributor’s home, according to the American Civil Liberties Union.

The nonprofit submitted a petition Friday asking the high court’s justices to consider a case from Daphne Moore, who was indicted on drug-related charges after federal law enforcement agents installed a camera on a utility pole across from her house in Springfield, Mass.
