Compass Group Won’t Get Rehearing in Customer Privacy Claims

Compass Group Plc’s U.S. unit won’t get a rehearing of an appeals court decision that found a customer can sue the company over collecting her fingerprint data to operate its vending machines.

All judges on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit voted to deny a full-panel rehearing, according to the Tuesday ruling in the case, which alleges violations of the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act.
