Chipotle Plaintiffs Can Proceed with Claims Stemming from Breach

Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. customers who sued the chain over a 2017 data breach can proceed with claims under state consumer protection laws and for an alleged breach of implied contract, a federal judge ruled.

U.S. District Judge Christine M. Arguello of the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado Sept. 26 granted in part and denied in part the chain’s motion to dismiss.
