Charter Moves to Shed Robocall Suit After High Court’s Ruling

Charter Communications Inc. is seeking to shed a consumer class action lawsuit over autodialed calls and texts made to wrong or reassigned cellphone numbers.

The case should be dismissed in light of a recent U.S. Supreme Court decision that rejected a claim against Facebook Inc. brought under federal anti-robocall law, lawyers for Charter wrote in a Louisiana federal court filing Tuesday.
