Apple iCloud Paid Data Storage Deception Claims Advance

Apple Inc. iCloud paying subscribers have standing to pursue injunctive relief in a proposed class suit alleging they were misled into thinking Apple, not a third party, would store their data, a California federal court said.

Andrea M. Williams and James Stewart, who allege they continue to be paying subscribers to iCloud and expect to continue being so for the immediate foreseeable future, have shown the requisite likelihood of future harm for injunctive relief, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California said Tuesday.
