App Usage Tracking in Google’s Android System Probed in Hearing

A California federal judge probed claims that Alphabet Inc.‘s Google misled consumers about tracking their app activity on Android phones during a hearing Tuesday, questioning whether privacy disclosures were clear.

Magistrate Judge Susan van Keulen of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California also focused during the hearing on whether the claims that Google invaded user privacy are enough to keep a lawsuit from being dismissed.
