Accellion Hit With Another Class Action Following Cyberattack

A Kroger Co. pharmacy customer has filed a proposed class action against Accellion Inc. in California federal court, alleging that the company negligently maintained the legacy file transfer product targeted in a recent data breach.

Kroger is just one of up to 300 of Accellion’s clients whose data was affected by the cyberattack on the company’s File Transfer Appliance, according to the complaint filed Wednesday at the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
