Vaccine Messaging in Underserved Areas Gets $250 Million Boost

Covid-19 vaccine education initiatives in rural and underserved communities across the U.S. will get a $250 million boost from the HHS, the federal government announced Monday.

Two years of funding will go to roughly 30 programs in cities and 43 in rural areas. Cities, counties, and parishes can apply until April 20. If picked, the grantee will pair with a local organization and create plans to help spread Covid-19 messaging and services in culturally sensitive and efficient ways, the Department of Health and Human Services said.
