Many Americans are wary of getting a Covid-19 vaccination when one becomes ready, toughening the task of health officials to ensure herd immunity.

Extra Doubts: Black Americans are disproportionately affected by the coronavirus but are also more hesitant to get a potential vaccine compared with other groups. Historic racial inequities and uncertainty over trying the first vaccine for a new disease will present obstacles for efforts to promote receiving the shot.
