Generic Drug Competition Bill Inches Forward in House

A highly-anticipated bill that dings branded drug companies for delaying generic competition inched forward in the House March 27 after debate over how much brand drugmakers can be penalized.

The Creating and Restoring Equal Access to Equivalent Samples Act of 2019—or CREATES Act—would allow generic drug companies to sue brand drugmakers for not selling them samples of their brand products.
