Croatia Won’t Buy Russian Vaccine Without Green Light From EU

Croatia is “more than ready” to purchase Sputnik V but only after the Russian coronavirus vaccine receives approval from European Union regulators, Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic said Thursday.

The comments are in contrast with his health minister, who said Croatia may not wait for EU approval before buying the shot.

Hungary and Slovakia have purchased the Russian vaccine and others are looking to do so amid slow deliveries by EU-approved producers.
