Convergence of Genomic, Human Study Spawns Culture Clash

The culture of genomics research, which has operated largely under an open-source, data-sharing atmosphere, must be aligned with the starkly different principles of autonomy and privacy protection in human subjects research, a National Institutes of Health official told a webinar May 24.
