Greece’s monthly and daily minimum wages are to increase April 1, the country’s labor ministry said March 17.

The monthly minimum wage increases to 780 euros (US$832.08) from 713 euros, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs said in a news release (Greek). The monthly minimum wage assumes 14 payments per year, including required bonuses. The monthly minimum wage for 12 payments per year is 910 euros, the ministry said.

The daily minimum wage for craftsmen, a term for blue-collar workers, increases to 34.84 euros, up from 31.85 euros, the ministry said.
