Luigi Mangione is back in New York state court Tuesday, with a judge set to rule on his motion to dismiss and potentially set a trial date.
New York Supreme Court Judge Gregory Carro is expected to decide on a host of pretrial issues, including Mangione’s arguments for tossing the case and a terrorism charge.
The 27-year-old defendant has said that being tried for the same crime in both state and federal court violates his protection against double jeopardy. He’s also argued that the state’s terrorism charge against him should be thrown out because it’s unfounded. Motion
