Democratic Senators Ask DOJ, FCC to Reject T-Mobile-Sprint Deal

Nine senators tell regulators to oppose T-Mobile’s takeover of rival Sprint in letters Tuesday.

  • “This merger will turn the clock back, returning Americans to the dark days of heavily consolidated markets and less competition, with all of the resulting harms,” they said
  • Deal will harm competition and lead to higher prices, senators say
  • Letters signed by Richard Blumenthal, Tom Udall, Kirsten Gillibrand, Bernie Sanders, Edward Markey, Amy Klobuchar, Sherrod Brown, Elizabeth Warren and Cory Booker
