Trump’s Group Health Plans Told to Pay Claims Despite Ruling (1)

Small business health insurance plans created under a Trump administration rule that a federal judge said violates the Affordable Care Act must continue to provide coverage and pay claims.

People enrolled in the new, more expansive type of association health plan affected by the court’s decision “have a right to benefits as provided by the plan or policy,” the Labor Department’s benefits regulator said in a Q&A-style guidance document about the decision April 2.
