Trump Health Rule ‘Abandoned’ Status Quo, Ex-Labor Officials Say

A lower court’s decision striking significant portions of expanded small businesses health plans was correct, five former Labor Department officials told a federal appeals court.

The DOL veterans, including former Solicitor of Labor Patricia Smith and Phyllis Borzi, former head of the DOL’s employee benefits arm Employee Benefits Security Administration, threw their support behind the 11 states and District of Columbia challenging the health plans.
