State Workers’ Compensation Agency, Judge Settle Firing Suit

A judge for the New Mexico Worker’s Compensation Administration who was fired for allegedly violating the judicial code of conduct dropped her lawsuit challenging her termination.

Shanon Riley filed a notice of voluntary dismissal Monday in the US District Court for the District of New Mexico, which said the parties settled the claims. Riley took administrative leave on Election Day in 2024 to vote but ultimately didn’t because there was a line at the poll and she was sick.
