Solo Cup, ViacomCBS Among Few Facing $4.8 Million Superfund Suit

A lawsuit seeking $4.8 million for the cost of cleaning up a Baltimore Superfund site can proceed against only ViacomCBS and three other companies, a federal court in Maryland ruled after denying a work group’s request to change their complaint.

The 68th Street Site Work Group originally sued more than 150 companies. The lawsuit said the companies either generated or transported hazardous substances to the 68th Street Dump.
