Missouri Appeals Order Blocking Gestational Age Abortion Ban

Missouri will appeal a lower court order blocking enforcement of its law restricting abortions based on gestational age, it told the Western District of Missouri.

Missouri’s legislature passed a series of abortion laws that prohibit the procedure after eight, 14, 18, and 20 weeks’ gestation, with the idea that the later bans would survive an abortion provider’s challenge even if an earlier ban did not.
