The Labor Department wants to fast-track an appeal challenging the Trump administration’s rule on association health plans.
The department wants the D.C. Circuit to revive the rule, which allows small businesses to offer health plans that are less expensive—and less robust—than plans governed by the Affordable Care Act.
The March decision striking it down could create “serious adverse effects” if not considered quickly, the department said in its May 9 motion.
