Feds Appeal Decision Striking Trump’s Group Health Plan Rule (1)

The Labor Department will ask a federal appeals court in the District of Columbia to revive the Trump administration’s rule on association health plans.

The department objects to a March decision striking the rule as an “end-run” around the Affordable Care Act. U.S. District Judge John Bates said the rule was designed to expand access to association health plans in order to avoid the most stringent requirements of the ACA.
