Exxon Mobil Deserves Win in Disability Bias Case, Judge Says

Exxon Mobil Corp. shouldn’t have to face the claims of a former employee who alleged the company discriminated against her after taking medical leave, a magistrate judge recommended.

Jennifer Doohan failed to list the correct employer on the charge that she filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Magistrate Judge Andrew M. Edison said, recommending that Exxon Mobil should be granted summary judgment.

Doohan was hired by Exxon Mobil to perform data analysis for internal clients, including a wholly owned subsidiary called Exxon Mobil Research and Engineering.
