Ex-GE Manager Beats Appeal to Enforce Settlement She Didn’t Sign

General Electric Co. lost its bid to enforce a settlement agreement with a former human resources manager who claimed race-based discrimination, when the Sixth Circuit ruled Tuesday that the manager had a 21-day window to consider its terms.

Monica Jackson accepted the written, draft agreement during a mediation session with the company, but the document included a provision giving her 21 days to consider the deal as a whole, the US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit said in an unpublished opinion.
