Aramark Campus LLC must face trial on claims by a female former financial executive who worked at the Philadelphia Phillies’ ballpark alleging it bowed to pressure from the team and fired her because of her sex, a federal court in Pennsylvania said.
Michelle Gates started working in 1990 for Aramark, the food and facility management provider. In 2016, she became a district controller based at Citizens Bank Park and assigned to prepare financial reports for the Phillies. She was fired in October 2017 after successfully completing a performance improvement plan.
