DOJ Gets Delay in Federal Appeal on Trump-Era Health Plan Rule

The D.C. Circuit said Monday that it would hold off on issuing a decision on the legality of a Trump administration rule that aimed to expand small business access to health insurance, so that President Biden’s officials can familiarize themselves with the case.

New York and other states challenged the Department of Labor’s 2018 rule, which allowed small businesses, including people who are self-employed and have no employees, to band together in associations to offer health insurance as a large employer group.
