Arkansas Abortion Restrictions Blocked Again (1)

A trio of abortion restrictions won’t take effect in Arkansas after a federal judge blocked the laws while litigation proceeds to challenge them as unconstitutional.

The laws would impose an 18-week abortion ban, bar women from having an abortion based on a fetus’ Down syndrome diagnosis, and require abortion providers to be licensed Arkansas physicians with board certification or eligibility in obstetrics and gynecology.
