Amazon, Gap Hit With Class Lawsuits Over Worker Criminal Checks

Amazon.com Inc. and Gap Inc. flout New York state job bias and criminal laws when they conduct criminal background checks on workers and are liable on a classwide basis, a pair of federal lawsuits charge.

The proposed class actions were both filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York by Genevieve Suarez.
