Abortion Law Challenges Take Center Stage at Eighth Circuit

The Eighth Circuit will hear oral arguments this week in two abortions cases, just prior to President Donald Trump’s expected nomination of a new, strongly anti-abortion U.S. Supreme Court justice.

Arkansas laws restricting abortions after 18 weeks’ gestation and those based on a fetal diagnosis of Down syndrome are under review in a case slated to be argued in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit Wednesday.
