Palm Beach Judge Scrutinized for Alleged Absences, Lapses (1)

A Palm Beach, Fla., trial court judge who allegedly shirked her official duties for several years is facing an ethics inquiry.

Marni A. Bryson “failed to devote full time and attention” to her judicial duties between 2016 and 2019, the Florida Judicial Qualifications Commission’s investigative panel said in its April 13 complaint.

“You were absent from the courthouse and not otherwise working full time on a recurring basis,” the complaint said.

Furthermore, the county judge didn’t let the chief judge know when she’d be absent and didn’t keep records of her leave, it said.
