Connecticut Lawyer Free of Legal Malpractice Suit On Appeal

An attorney in Connecticut doesn’t have to face a legal malpractice action by a doctor after a state appeals court held that the lower court properly rejected the plaintiff’s expert.

Alan Neigher represented physician Charles D. Gianetti in a breach of contract suit against Norwalk Hospital, which had declined to renew Gianetti’s privileges. Gianetti was awarded $258,610 plus costs for that claim, but was unable to amend to include a claim under the Connecticut Unfair Trade Practices Act.
