Amy Coney Barrett promised on Wednesday to consider allowing cameras at the U.S. Supreme Court, if she’s confirmed as a justice.
“I would certainly keep an open mind about allowing cameras in the Supreme Court,” Barrett said in response to a question from Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) on Day 3 of her confirmation hearings.
Still, she didn’t offer a ringing endorsement of the plan that transparency advocates have been pushing for years and that nominees have supported to varying degrees in the past.
