White House Details IP Enforcement Efforts in Annual Report

The White House highlighted the administration’s efforts to fight the “rapid growth” of counterfeit goods from China in an annual report to Congress.

The U.S. Intellectual Property Enforcement Coordinator’s report touted the importance of proactive protections like import controls and civil and criminal investigations in its report, given the role intellectual property plays in economic growth and competitiveness.

It also focused on cybercrime and piracy of copyrighted materials, import of patent-infringing products, and economic espionage
