Samsung Wins Validity Challenges to Three Memory Patents

Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. convinced a patent office tribunal to find invalid parts of three processor patents that Samsung was accused of infringing with memory products used in smartphones and tablets.

Samsung asked the Patent Trial and Appeal Board to review the patents after Arbor Global Strategies LLC sued in 2019. Arbor alleged hundreds of memory products from Samsung, Sony Corp., and Qualcomm Technologies Inc. infringe the patents, according to court documents.
