Patent Office Kicks Off Search for First-Ever AI Expert (1)

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office is looking to hire its first-ever artificial intelligence expert to boost its technology and infrastructure with AI tools.

“The role will provide technical expertise in developing solutions for real-world, large-scale problems using Artificial Intelligence at the USPTO,” according to the agency’s job posting for a Senior Level Artificial Intelligence Expert. The person hired will provide technical advice to the agency’s chief and deputy chief information officers on developing and implementing AI, the post says.
