Arizona State University failed to show a likelihood of confusion in its lawsuit against anonymous Instagram account for “Hoax-19 covid” parties for using the university’s logo and school colors, according to a federal court order.
The Arizona Board of Regents (ABOR), the governing body of Arizona’s public university system, asked for default judgement that would have granted a permanent injunction against an individual running an Instagram account with the username “asu_covid.parties” that repeatedly promoted parties during the peak of the first wave of the pandemic.
