Old Spice Whistler Sues Networks for Copyright Infringement

A man who says he created the distinctive “whistle” in Old Spice ads has sued major networks and others in Los Angeles federal court for allegedly infringing his copyright by distributing the ads, after filing a related lawsuit against Old Spice maker Procter & Gamble Co. and ad agency Wieden + Kennedy Inc. last year.

H. Scott Salinas sued ABC, NBC, ESPN, and CBS as well as Hulu and Variety owner Penske Media Corp. in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California on Friday.
