Motorola Solutions Bid to Block Rival Cameras to Be Probed

The International Trade Commission said it has launched an investigation based on a patent-infringement complaint Motorola Solutions and its Avigilon unit filed in August accusing startup Verkada of copying patented technology to enter the market for video security.

  • Motorola Solutions seeks to block imports of Verkada’s Dome Series, Mini Series, Bullet Series, Fisheye Series, and D-Series cameras made in Taiwan and used by retailers, municipalities and school districts
