‘Impossible’ Foods Mark Dispute Heads to Federal Court (Correct)

Impossible Foods Inc., the company responsible for plant-based substitutes for meat products sold at grocery stores, fast food chains, and high-end restaurants, wants a federal court in California to put to rest a dispute over its use of the “Impossible” mark.

The company sued Impossible X LLC in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, seeking a declaratory judgment that would end an action Impossible X filed at the Trademark Trial and Appeals Board opposing Impossible Foods’ federal trademark application to use the mark in connection with recipes, food ingredients, and cooking information.
