Google’s Location Imaging Win Sent Back to Patent Board

Google LLC‘s successful challenge at the Patent Trial and Appeal Board to parts of four patents related to creating composite images of geographic locations was vacated by the Federal Circuit Thursday.

In a nonprecedential opinion, the court said the PTAB misconstrued certain terms within the patents. Vederi LLC will get another chance to prove that the relevant parts of the patents are valid.
