Fracking Rivals Reach Deal in Patent Case After Sanctions

True Chemical Solutions LLC has agreed to settle a patent suit brought by a rival fracking chemical supplier, one day after a West Texas judge refused to consider part of his “death penalty” sanctions order on the company.

True Chem and Performance Chemical Co. asked Judge Alan Albright in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas for 21 days to finalize their agreement. A damages trial scheduled to begin Monday was canceled.
