Fox, CAA Face Copyright Infringement Suit Over ‘Ad Astra’ (1)

The 2019 film “Ad Astra” infringed the copyright of one of film producer and writer Philip “Madison” Jones’s screenplays, Jones is alleging in a complaint filed in a Los Angeles federal court.

Twentieth Century Studios Inc., also known as Fox, and the talent agency Creative Arts Agency infringed Jones’ copyright by transforming his screenplay called “Cosmic Force” into “Ad Astra,” Jones alleged inthe complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. Both scripts depict a man who searches through space for his father, a legendary astronaut who went missing on a mission.
